The original intent of ths website was to tell everyone who visited Harry's yard about all of the stuff he had collected in his yard, or made to display in it. Harry is a Master Plumber, now retired, but for forty years, as owner of Studebaker Plumbing, and co-owner of Studebaker-Getchel Pumps, he worked all over the South-Central part of Wisconsin. He met a lot of people, made a lot of friends and got in to a lot of places and situations that most people never do. He is a collector of odd and unsual things and finds a certain kind of beauty in things that most people would overlook. He recognizes things from the past that people today wouldn't have the vaguest ides what they were looking at. And so he brings this stuff home and displays it, and there is almost always a story that goes with each piece. Besides being a collector Harry is a great talker and it doesn't take much persuasion to get him to tell you about his stuff and how he came to own it.
