There were several years when we and the Gamsbys spent nearly every weekend cutting and splitting wood to heat with. Everybody was doing it back then. Harry built a super-dooper log splitter out of his old plumbing truck and we worked our tails off. Most of the time we split wood out of John Haights' woods.
